Roatan Travel Planning
- Please check with your airline before departure for the latest recommended arrival times and security guidelines. See Honduras Entry Requirements for Covid-19.
- You’re advised to have a government-issued picture ID available at all times, as well as a printed itinerary if you’re using an electronic ticket.
- U.S. citizens are required to have a valid U.S. passport. Please make sure your passport does not expire for a minimum of 6 MONTHS beyond your return travel date. Residents of all other countries should check with the Honduran Embassy/Consulate before leaving for specific entry requirements.
- Make sure your personal information is on all pieces of baggage as well as inside your luggage. If you borrow bags, please be sure to use your identification, not of the person from whom you borrowed it.
- Before your arrival, we’ll provide you with green luggage tags. Please attach them to all your bags because they help our personnel identify your luggage and will facilitate clearance through customs at Roatan Airport.
- Unfortunately, the airlines do not always deliver your baggage on time. We will do as much as they can to accommodate you with Scuba equipment and other items, but you should pack a change of clothes, toiletries, medication, contact lenses, prescription masks, etc. in your carry-on luggage.
- And don’t forget your C-card because you won’t be able to dive without it.
- We also recommend that you purchase Travel Insurance. Please ask your travel advisor for more information.
