If you wish to stay close to home base, glide around our tranquil lagoon in your kayak or stand-up paddle to nearby Bailey’s Key and enjoy lazing on the sequestered beach. Enjoy local music and cultural dances during our Island Fiesta Night or sample signature cocktails at the Frangipani Bar. Blissful treatments at Ixora Spa and lounging poolside are other onsite diversions.

Want to venture out? Spend the day on a private island at Maya Key, with two secluded beaches, epic snorkeling, and a 70,000-gallon swimming pool. Then, take a canopy tour over the lush rainforest.

Kayak in a Tranquil Roatan Lagoon at AKR

The waters inside the resort’s lagoon are calm most days of the year, and kayaking is a great way to spend an afternoon after a day of diving or snorkeling. Explore the resort with a leisurely paddle in the lagoon.

Stand-Up Paddle

Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) on Calm Caribbean Waters

Try out an above-the-water sport while at Anthony’s Key with Stand-up Paddleboarding. This is a fun way to enjoy the ocean and glide across the water on large surf-style boards and long paddles, achieving a 360-degree view only achieved while standing upright. Stand-up paddling is so comfortable and relaxing that you won’t feel like you are doing a sport!

Maya Key Private Island

Enjoy Snorkeling, Beach Relaxation & Shopping

One of the week’s highlights is our guests unite at Maya Key. Diving guests arrive by boat following the second daily dive, while non-diving guests travel by bus to this beautiful private oasis! Relax under a coconut canopy, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch, and tour the animal sanctuary. This beautiful key also offers two secluded beaches, excellent snorkeling from a scenic pier, a 70,000-gallon swimming pool, a 5,000-square-foot lounge deck, and lush garden paths bursting with indigenous flora.

Bailey’s Key

Roatan Beach Relaxation & Dolphin Encounter Experience

There is great snorkeling on the west side of Bailey’s Key, while the RIMS Dolphin Lagoon is located on the east side. Here, you can interact with these highly intelligent marine mammals. Fresh water showers, changing facilities, and restrooms are conveniently located in the center of the key.

  • Paddleboards are included in all our packages.
  • Paddleboards are available for our guests to use during daylight hours.
  • The equipment is located on Anthony’s Key, next to the taxi boat stand.
  • Our dive shop can assist you if you are unfamiliar with using the equipment.

Improve Your Underwater Experience in Roatan

During our informative Fish ID Slide Show, you’ll learn about the tropical fish and coral formations found in the waters around us. Even if you are a novice snorkeler or diver, you will be able to recognize colorful schools following this presentation. The slide show is included in all 7-night packages.

Explore the Rainforest of Roatan

Discover the exciting adventure awaiting you amongst the natural wonders of Roatan. This fascinating trip on the canopy rainforest offers the opportunity to see the natural flora and wildlife that exist on the island. You’ll have the opportunity to ride above the trees and experience a unique ecological adventure.

Roatan Horseback Riding

Meander on horseback along a lazy stretch of beach in the town of Sandy Bay in Roatan, Honduras. Wave to the locals, pass through the town and then gallop along the beach. While on the beach, you can try a few trots, but it is more about enjoying the scenery and being in the saddle. Join us for some amazing riding!

This ride is ideal for first-time riders or mature riders looking to get back in the saddle.

  • Minimum age 8 years.
  • Children ages 8-12 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

At the center of Anthony’s Key is our 30 by 60-foot in-ground swimming pool, hidden among towering palms and a short walk from stilted bungalows on the perimeter of the secluded eight-acre island. The four-foot deep freshwater pool is perfect for swimming laps or relaxing after a day’s adventure on built-in seating along the perimeter or in lounge chairs at the pool’s edge.
