What is the weather like in Roatan?
The average temperature is around 85 degrees Fahrenheit with a tropical climate. Please feel free to check our current weather conditions.

What is the typical underwater visibility experienced diving when in Roatan? 
The visibility is normally around 70-80 feet.

What is the water temperature?
Water temp ranges from 79 in Jan to 86 in June. Then it starts dropping at the end of Oct from 86 to 79 at the end of Dec.

How does the North Shore compare with the South Shore for diving?
There is more fish life on the north shore because it is in the only marine park. The reefs are good on both sides of the island.

Do the bungalows have a hairdryer?
Yes

Do the bungalows have a refrigerator?
All Deluxe and Superior cabins have refrigerators. A small ice cooler is provided in all cabins.

Is there laundry service and how much is it? 
Laundry service is available through an outside provider. Laundry is picked-up each morning at the snack shop before 10:00am and returned in the afternoon after 2:00pm. Cost: $7 for a small load, $14 for a large load.

Is there a babysitting service and how much is it?
The front desk can contact a local babysitter with whom guests can arrange times and payment with directly.

What credit cards and currency are accepted on the property?
US dollars, American Express, VISA, and Master Card.

How far is the resort from the airport?
It only takes about 15 minutes by car.

Is there complimentary airport transportation?
Yes, we are happy to transport you to and from the airport.

Should I rent a car while I am visiting?
If you wish; however, taxis are readily available should you desire to leave the property.

Do I need a converter for the wall sockets?
Our wall sockets use the North American standard layout and voltage of 110 volts.

Can I drink the water?
The resort’s drinking water is treated and safe for consumption. Bottled water is also available for sale.

What documentation should I bring with me?
A valid passport is all that is required for US/Canadian citizens. Check with your travel agent or Honduras consulate if a VISA is required for other nationalities. Please make sure your passport is valid at least 6 MONTHS from your return travel date.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Rooms must be vacated by 11:00am on the day of your departure. For early morning departures, check-out procedures will be performed the day before.

How can I change or update a reservation?
Please check with your travel agent.

How do I plan my vacation activities in advance?
Submit dive certification, equipment rental requests to your travel agent or to the dive shop. Dolphin activities can be booked in advance through our online reservations system or made once you arrive at the resort.

What are the hours of operation at the Front Desk?
Our Front Desk is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Can I bring my pet?
We do not allow pets in the resort.

Are there bike trails?
No.

Does my unit have a TV/DVD/CD/MP3 player?
No.

Who is responsible for cleaning the units at departure?
We have daily housekeeping.

Do you have a secure place to store valuables?
Safes are available in each room. Safes are provided in all our bungalows. Safes measure 6\”x20\”x20\” and can accommodate most electronic devices and other valuables. Safes are accessed by a 4 digit numerical code, which is programmed by the user.

Do you have a playground for children?
We do not have a playground for kids; however, during the summer months we offer the unique Dolphin Summer Scuba Camp  that provides a wide range of activities for kids ages 5-14.

What should I know about gratuities?

Should I get any vaccinations prior to my trip?
While we have no issues that necessitate recommended vaccinations you should always consult with your doctor prior to leaving the country.

What is the legal drinking age?
21 years of age.

What \”night life\” is there?
Live Music at the Frangipani Bar, Monday and Friday nights. Fiesta Night on Anthony’s Key Wednesday nights.

Are there any local church services?
Yes.

Is there Internet connectivity?
Yes. WiFi Internet is available throughout the property.  Desktop computer available for guest use the reception room.

Can I use my cellular phone?
Some US carries offer GSM roaming services in Honduras. Please check with your provider.

Should I bring beach towels or are they provided?
We do provide towels for the pool area and bath towels for the rooms. Beach towels are not provided, you can bring your own or purchase souvenir towels at the resort.

Should I be concerned about biting insects?
Insect repellant is recommended. Several options are available in the Snack Shop for purchase.

Do you cater to dietary restrictions?
Our chefs can accommodate most dietary requests on an individual basis. Submit notice prior to travel with diet specifications.
