Things to Do in Roatan: Off-Resort Activities
Maya Key Private Island Retreat
Enjoy Snorkeling, Relaxing on the Beach, and Shopping
Guests often tell us that a big highlight of their trip is the weekly excursion to Maya Key. Every Monday, divers, snorkelers, and landlubbers unite at Maya Key. After the second daily dive or morning snorkel trip, you’ll travel to Maya Key by boat and explore this beautiful private oasis. Relax under a coconut canopy, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and tour the animal sanctuary. This beautiful key also offers two secluded beaches, excellent snorkeling from a scenic pier, a 70,000-gallon swimming pool, 5,000 square foot lounge deck, and lush garden paths bursting with indigenous flora. Depart for your third dive from Maya Key or return to the resort at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Roatan Canopy Tour
Explore the Rainforest of Roatan
An amazing adventure is waiting for you in the natural rainforest of Gumbalimba Park. This fascinating trip through the canopy rainforest gives you the opportunity to see the natural flora and wildlife that exist on the island. You’ll have a blast on this exhilarating and ecological zip-line adventure above the canopy of Roatan!
Roatan Horseback Riding
Meander on Horseback Along the Beach
During this tour, you’ll ride through the town of Sandy Bay and wave to the locals as you pass through. Then, enjoy an exciting gallop along the beach where you’ll have the opportunity to try a few trots. This ride is all about enjoying the scenery and being in the saddle. Join us for some amazing riding!
This package is ideal for first-time riders or mature riders looking to get back in the saddle.

Golfing at Black Pearl Golf Course
A World-Class Course In Roatan
If you are a golfer, be sure to visit Roatan’s very first golf course. Designed by the world-renowned Peter Dye and son Perry, the course at Pristine Bay boasts a full 18 holes and is rated at Par 72. Situated close to the ocean, the course measures 7200 yards from the back tees and offers stunning views of the Caribbean. This is a truly unique setting and experience for those who love the game. The designers also incorporated environmentally sustainable features in the making of the course, such as the use of salt-water resistant, ease of irrigation and maintenance Paspalum turf.

Location and Hours Of Operations
The course is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The Black Pearl is located just six miles from Roatan International Airport in the town of French Harbor. It is approximately a 25-minute drive from Anthony’s Key Resort.
