Welcome to Front Porch, the house reef of Anthony’s Key Resort! Whether you’re a diver or a snorkeler, this shore-accessible site is the perfect place to explore Meso-American Barrier Reef, which gently hugs our resort.

As you swim from shore, you’ll discover a variety of habitats, including our coral restoration project, located in the northern corner of the sand plateau. The reef gradually gets deeper and more diverse with distance from shore, with a sand and rubble plateau at a depth of 25 feet (7 meters) and a deeper sand plateau at approximately 50 feet (15 meters).

In the shallow waters, keep an eye out for the large rainbow parrotfish, while in the deeper waters, you might spot large cubera and mutton snapper, midnight parrotfish, lobsters, and moray eels. With steep-sided channels cutting through the rugose reef, there’s always something new to discover.
