Meet Your Host
André Valentim
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1971, André Valentim began scuba diving in 1986. In 2026, he proudly celebrates 40 years of passion, dedication, and active involvement in the scuba diving industry.
André became a professional diver in 1989 and has built a dynamic career spanning instruction, equipment sales, and dive travel. He has served as a brand ambassador for Scubapro and, since 2016, continues to represent MARES as an official ambassador. Certified as an instructor with agencies such as PADI, TDI, and SDI, André reached the prestigious rank of International Training Director and Latin America Service Manager with SSI.
While his contributions to diver training and equipment promotion are well recognized, André found his greatest calling in dive travel. In 2009, he founded AV Dive, a company specializing in marketing and sales for more than 15 premier international dive destinations. His work has taken him to over 50 countries, many of which he’s explored beneath the surface.

- The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. (Dinner on arrival day through breakfast on departure day.)
- Prices shown are per person for a 7-night stay, based on double occupancy.
- Hotel taxes are not included and are subject to change.
- This package cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.
Deposits & Payments:
- A deposit of $200 USD per person is required within 7 days of booking, or the reservation will be canceled without further notice.
- The final payment is due 60 days before arrival, or the deposit will be forfeited.
- Reservations made within 60 days of arrival require full payment within 7 days.
Cancellation Policy:
- 60+ Days Before Arrival: No penalty.
- 59 to 45 Days Before Arrival: $200 penalty per person.
- 44 to 30 Days Before Arrival: 25% of the total reservation cost.
- 29 to 8 Days Before Arrival: No refund provided; a future credit minus a $200 deposit per person will be issued, valid for one year from the original travel date (subject to rate changes).
- 7 Days or Less Before Arrival & No-Shows: No refund or credit.
- No refunds due to flight cancellations, natural disasters, war, terrorism etc.
- The unused services in the package are non-refundable and non-transferable.
